A Distant Call

On the island of Sulawesi, Indonesia, an ancient way of life that celebrates five different genders still survives to this day. Their last remaining leaders must make a critical decision: conform and risk their culture's extinction, or refuse and be ostracised by society.
I developed this film with the director across last year, and pitched at the international pitching forum Docs By The Sea last August, where we secured financing for the film. We are now engaged in an international co-production with companies in France and Indonesia and the crew is shooting the film across 2021-2022, while I am producing the film from the UK. We have funding from organisations including DMZ Docs in South Korea and Procirep Commission Télévision in France. 

To Nowhere

Two teenage girls bunk off school on an alcohol-fuelled trip around a lonely corner of London. Slowly, their boundaries break down as they grapple with grief, trauma, and unspoken feelings for each other.
The film is currently on the festival circuit, having won multiple awards including Best Feature Film at the British Independent Film Festival 2021, and Best LGBTQ+ Film at New Renaissance Film Festival. We are currently in talks for distribution.

My Grandmother Is A Bird

Almost 60 years after Indonesian government enforced Chinese-Indonesian to “Indonesianise” their Chinese names, 87 year-old Indriati is still haunted by the meaning of her past name in the form of a silver bird.
We have taken the film to international pitching forums including Docs By The Sea 2021, DOK Leipzig and Global Short Docs Forum.

A short film produced for director Yury Vorobev, following a mother in the aftermath of the death of her son. The film aims to raise awareness of the high rate of young male suicide in the UK in the hope of encouraging more dialogue around the subject.

Divianne - Come Back Home

A music video produced for singer-songwriter Divianne's newest single 'Come Back Home.' The video is shot entirely in a single, unbroken 4-minute take as we follow Divianne through the woods and ancient ruins, as she reflects on her nostalgic emotions from the end of a relationship. The video makes use of a dreamlike slow-motion effect, in which Divianne still sings in time, yet her movements are slightly slowed.

A saxophonist learns of the death of his closest loved one. In a single scene, he pours out his soul alone in a rehearsal room with a twisted, beautiful sax solo.

A music video produced for a single from Bolton-based artist Easy Days. His music is an eclectic mix of old-school hip-hop, jazz and neo-soul.
The music video for 'Metamorphosis' shows an artist trapped between two worlds - the doldrums of his daily life, and a dreamscape in which he attempts to break free from stasis.
